Originally from Brighton, Joe enlisted in the State Police in June 1997. After graduating from the 115th Trooper Recruit School, he was assigned to Bridgeport Post #37. Joe has been temporarily assigned to the Flint Anti-Corruption Task Force, and is currently on temporary assignment to the 3rd District Fugitive Apprehension Team. Departmentally, Joe has received advanced training as an Advanced Traffic Crash Investigator and as a Field Training Officer.
Joe's active involvement in the Troopers Association started in 2001 when he was elected as the Post Representative at the Bridgeport Post. Joe was elected to the Executive Board in 2005 as the 3rd District Representative. Joe serves on the Safety Committee, the Grievance Committee and the Constitution & By-Laws Committee. He has received advanced training in the area of police officer rights. Joe also serves the membership in the discipline process as an Association Advocate.
Joe currently resides in Hartland
with his wife Sherri and sons Kyle, Corey, and Mitchell.
