The Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge of Michigan, representing active and retired law enforcement officers since 1939, is a proud affiliate of the National Fraternal Order of Police, which encompasses a membership exceeding 377,000 nationwide.
On June 7, 2025, the Michigan State Police Troopers Association (MSPTA) conducted a formal vote of its membership to assess confidence in the leadership of Colonel James Grady and Lieutenant Colonel Aimee Brimacombe. The results were unequivocal: with more than 76% member participation, over 98% of respondents indicated a lack of confidence in the current leadership.
A vote of no confidence, by its nature, signifies that the individuals in question are no longer regarded as suitable to continue in their respective leadership roles, as determined by the collective voice of those they lead. In this instance, the outcome reflects an overwhelming and unified message from within the ranks.
The Fraternal Order of Police State Lodge of Michigan fully supports the Michigan State Police Troopers Association in its pursuit of leadership accountability, organizational reform, and the restoration of morale and public trust.
